Take Back Control Over Anxiety & Depression.

Dr. Jim. Professional Counselor

Real Person, Proud Father.

Expert therapy to address anxiety, panic attacks, and depression for those who want better relationships and greater success in their career.

Today you might feel anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or just plain confused about what to do next. Or, you might be thinking you’re a failure or not worthy of being treated with respect or being successful. That’s okay.  Its just a starting point.  And we don’t have to be there much longer.

Together, we will focus on your needs and learn to take action to have a better, more fulfilling life.

Your time is valuable. You set the goals for therapy and we develop a plan together to make small changes. Those small changes add up to big results in your life for family, work, school, and yourself. We might sometimes laugh together or cry. We might even cuss once in a while. Above all, therapy with me is about being real, engaging your strengths, and taking action.

True North is that sense of purpose and action in my life that comes from living my values. My True North is focused on helping others overcome difficulties related to depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Each of those challenges present unique opportunities for you to grow. Your opportunities might include growth in you family, your career, or your education. But that growth opportunity is especially with yourself. It would be my pleasure to help you rediscover your True North.

Real Talk

about Real Life

for Real Change.

Therapy with me is about real talk and real life. I’ve felt that anxiety and experienced too many of those sleepless nights. I understand that difficulty. I found that there are several paths to finding that sense of calm and peacefulness that we seek.

As your counselor, I will help you take risks to have more meaningful and happy relationships with others. I will also support you in developing and practicing the skills needed to achieve your own goals.

MY APPROACH YOUR GOALS

Therapy is about becoming your best self. I can help you get there.

I get you

Life can be overwhelming and filled with anxiety and other stress. I’ve been there. I’ve worked through some of life’s ups and downs and twists and turns and losses.

You are

Ambitious, hard working, and driven. But you might be feeling lost, overwhelmed and stuck. You exhausted from treading water or running a treadmill of life and getting no place. You want something better, something different, something important to you. You want to be more effective and productive at work. You want better relationships with your family and the people you love.

I can help you get there

I’ve got the degrees, the licenses, and the training. More importantly, I’ve got the real life experiences that come from making mistakes in life and learning how to build better relationships or gain greater self-confidence. I use a variety of approaches that help you better understand you, how you got where you are, and how you can work toward becoming the best version of yourself.
